IP & Innovation Notice – Smart Advice Claims Ltd
Date: 14 May 2025
Smart Advice Claims Ltd, with technical collaboration from the University of Salford, is the first UK firm to launch and operate a proprietary AI-powered claims processing system fully integrated within the native WhatsApp platform. This system has been deployed across a wide range of consumer claim types, including but not limited to housing disrepair.
This pioneering technology enables a seamless, app-free user journey using WhatsApp as the interface for claims assessment, automated evidence gathering, and structured claim documentation—all enhanced by machine learning and intelligent decision support systems.
The overall concept, technical architecture, conversational logic, AI integration methods, user experience design, and process automation flow are the intellectual property of Smart Advice Claims Ltd, and are protected under UK copyright, trade secret laws, and all applicable intellectual property legislation. This includes but is not limited to all interactions, logic chains, conditional workflows, AI prompt designs, response branching, data capture frameworks, and report generation methods.
Further reinforcing our innovation and IP position, the scientific research underpinning our AI-driven approach to image recognition and mould detection has been formally peer-reviewed and published in the International Journal of Pattern Recognition and Artificial Intelligence (IJPRIA), as detailed in our paper titled:
“A New Adopted YOLOv9 Model for Detecting Mould Regions Inside of Buildings”
DOI: 10.1142/S0218001424500253
This peer-reviewed publication provides independent, timestamped validation of our AI methodology and establishes a public scientific record of our work, further strengthening our intellectual property rights.
